FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What if I don’t even know how to explain what I’m feeling?

That’s okay. You don’t have to come in with the perfect words. We’ll figure it out together at your pace. There’s no wrong way to start.

  • I’ve always handled things on my own. Does starting therapy mean I’m failing?

Not at all. Asking for support is a different kind of strength. Therapy isn’t about weakness. It’s about giving yourself the tools to live with more ease.

  • Do you give homework between sessions?

Sometimes, if it fits your goals. I believe therapy is like going to the gym. If we only have you 'workout' in session, you often will only notice a small difference. I work with you in session to figure out what you're willing to practice or commit to, outside of session.

  • How do I know if we’ll be a good fit?

That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll talk and you’ll get a feel for my style. It should feel like a good match, not a stretch.

  • Can therapy really help with things like burnout or boundary setting?

Yes. Therapy is great for practical, everyday challenges like managing burnout, building boundaries, and learning how to trust yourself again.

  • Do you provide letters for Emotional Support Animals (ESA), service animals, or evaluations for work accommodations, FMLA, unemployment, or long-term disability?

No, I do not provide ESA or service animal letters. I also do not conduct evaluations or provide documentation for work accommodations, unemployment benefits, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), or long-term disability claims.
